Blair Schoeb

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Blair is the CEO of Areawide Aging Agency.  Prior to serving in this position, Mr. Schoeb served as the Senior Program Manager at Public Strategies and IMCI, the Director of the Oklahoma County Department of Training and General Assistance, and the Senior Vice President at United Way of Central Oklahoma.  He is a graduate of Oklahoma City University where he later served as the president of the Alumni Association, and of Leadership Oklahoma City.  He serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Area Aging Agencies, the Oklahoma City MAPS Senior Health and Wellness Centers Committee, and the Oklahoma State Council on Aging.

Debra Springer

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Debra, CFO of Areawide Aging Agency, is a CPA and a graduate of Oklahoma State University. She started her accounting career as a tax accountant in the international CPA firm of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in their Oklahoma City office. After gaining valuable experience, she was able to work independently as a consultant and tax professional while raising two sons with her husband. Also, during this time, she taught at Oklahoma City University and received her master’s degree in accounting from them. Her next employment was at Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon, Oklahoma where she was the Accounting and Finance Manager. It was here where she learned about non-profits, aging issues, and the fun of working with a multi-faceted team. It was a natural lead into the CFO position at Areawide Aging Agency.

Shonda Harrison

Chief Program Officer (CPO)

Shonda Harrison joined the organization, in March of 2023, in the role of Chief Program’s Officer. Shonda’s experience over the last 25 years has been spent in the human resources, training, people organization and project management fields. Shonda received her B.S. Degree, in Education, from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She later obtained a training and development certificate. Over the years, Shonda has had the privilege of working with different organizations, but it was her time with Bluestem Communities that really gave her the desire and passion to work with older adults. She was able to see firsthand the results of the aging population and how beneficial the services are that are aimed to empower older Americans to continue living with the dignity and independence of aging in our communities.

Shonda resides in Yukon, OK and loves spending time with her family, going to the lake with friends and reading.

Dr. Lisa Bailey

Chair – Board Member

PhD, RN

Lisa graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with her PhD in nursing and obtained her BSN from East Central University in Ada, OK. She has been in the field of nursing for over 25 years. During that time, Lisa has worked with clients of all ages and in many different medical settings. Most recently she has worked closely with women and the aging population both in and outside of the hospital. Her research study looked at the impact of chemotherapy-related cognitive dysfunction on the social roles of aging women. She is excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the board for Areawide Aging Agency, an organization that helps support the aging population in such a manner that allows them to maintain quality of life and independence. This is something she is passionate about.

Currently, Lisa is working with prenatal and post-partum women in the rural communities of Southeast Oklahoma, helping to provide education and care in the home setting. She is active in professional nursing organizations and considers herself a lifelong learner. She is also co-owner of a small business, BFM Transport LLC. Lisa is married with 9 adult children. She and her family reside in Wilburton, which is located in southeast Oklahoma, where they have a homestead. Lisa enjoys reading, bible study, crafting, but most importantly spending time building relationships and memories with her family.

Christie Porter

Vice Chair - Board Member

Assistant General Counsel at Tinker Federal Credit Union

Christie Porter is Assistant General Counsel at Tinker Federal Credit Union. She is responsible for the oversight of TFCU’s compliance program, including implementation of new regulatory requirements and monitoring of TFCU’s adherence to state and federal financial regulatory requirements.

She has a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor, Law, from Oklahoma City University.

Christie is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and serves on the Financial Institutions & Commercial Law and Labor & Employment Law Sections. Christie holds certifications in compliance and bank secrecy act through the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NCCO and NCBSO), serves on the Cornerstone Credit Union League Compliance Council Executive Committee and is a member of the Credit Union National Association’s Compliance & Risk Council. Christie also serves on the board of Areawide Aging Agency, a nonprofit agency dedicated to maintaining and advancing the dignity and independence of older adults in our community.  

Christie has more than thirty years’ experience in the financial industry and has worked in operations, human resources, legal and compliance.

Brent Saffell

Secretary/Treasurer Board Member

Core Business Advisors

Brent and his wife (Barbara) reside in Edmond, Oklahoma.  He is currently employed by Core Business Advisors. In 2021, he retired from Bank of Oklahoma in Tulsa, OK , as a Senior Vice President, having worked for 35 years in a variety of accounting related positions.  Brent earned his B.S. in Accounting at Oklahoma Christian University (1983) and is a Certified Public Accountant.  Brent has served in several not-for-profit service roles through the years, primarily in the Tulsa and Broken Arrow communities.  Brent and Barbara have two daughters and two grandsons in the Oklahoma City area and are members of the Memorial Road Church of Christ.

Jason Bailey

Senior Accounting Director

The Hertz Corporation

Jason is a CPA and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He is currently employed as a Senior Accounting Director for the Hertz Rental Car Corporation, where he leads the North American accounting function and is also responsible for the organization’s SOX controls globally. Previously he worked at KPMG LLP in the audit practice  and  has also worked in consulting and the energy industry.

In 2019 Jason graduated from the United Way of Central Oklahoma Board Serve Program, which led him to his position on the board of Areawide and the chair of the development committee. In addition to his role with Areawide, Jason has served as a community volunteer with United Way for several years in the allocation subcommittee process and also has served as a mentor through the Steed School of Accounting at the University of Oklahoma, where he helps business students prepare for their professional life.

Jason lives in The Village with his wife Stephanie, daughter Maren, and dog Winston. He enjoys riding his bike at Lake Hefner, grilling, reading, watching the Sooners win and listening to podcasts.

Kyle Tully

General Counsel

Funds For Learning LLC

Kyle is General Counsel at Funds For Learning LLC, a nationwide consulting and web services firm specializing in the federal E-rate program. Kyle is responsible for all of the firm’s legal matters and provides strategic guidance, consultation, and legal and business advice to executive staff. He establishes internal company policies, manages the firm’s multi-state operations, and ensures the firm remains compliant with state and federal law.
Kyle also works directly with clients, including school districts, government agencies, and corporate clients, on regulatory matters and compliance issues. He advances policy on behalf of the company and advocates for the company and its clients before the Federal Communications Commission.
Kyle holds a B.A. in Economics from Oklahoma State University (2011) and earned his J.D. from the Oklahoma City University School of Law (2014).
Kyle actively participates in a number of civic organizations and professional groups. He is a member of both the Oklahoma and Washington, DC Bar Associations and the E-rate Management Professionals Association.
In addition to his role on the Areawide Board of Directors, Kyle supports local Oklahoma communities through his service with various nonprofit organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma. He also serves as a community volunteer with The Birthday Party Project, a Dallas, Texas based nonprofit that celebrates birthdays for children experiencing homelessness.
Kyle and his fiancé, Jessie Kierl, reside in Oklahoma City with their dog Willis.

Aidee Salas

Board Member

Loves Family of Companies

Aidee is from Nayarit, Mexico and is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with accounting and finance backgrounds. She currently works for the Loves Family of Companies where giving back to the community plays an important role in the culture. She joined the board of Areawide in 2019 after completing the United Way Board Serve program. She is a member of Southern Hills Baptist church which is also committed to serving the community. In her free time, Aidee enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and reading.

Heath Wiederstein

Board Member

IT Project Manager, American Fidelity Assurance

Heath Wiederstein is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University’s BBA program, with a focus in Business Management. Heath also has his PMP, PMI-ACP, and CSM professional certifications and works as an IT Project Manager at American Fidelity Assurance where he is responsible for ensuring successful delivery of strategic technology projects across the organization.

In addition to his role on the Areawide Board of Directors, Heath plays an active role in his church, has a passion for music and enjoys sports, the outdoors and many activities with his family.

Heath lives in Edmond with his wife Tiffany and 2 sons.

Personal Statement:

I strive to make God my center and family is second to that.  My family is very close, and we do what we can to take care of one another.  My grandparents set the example in my family.  I was taught from a very young age to value and respect my elders and the seniors of the community.  I’m honored to be part of an organization that takes pride in and focuses on serving the aging community.

Ryne Walker

Board Member

Portfolio Manager, American Fidelity

Ryne is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s MBA program and has an undergraduate degree from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo.  Ryne is also a CFA charterholder.  He is currently employed as Portfolio Manager for American Fidelity, where he manages a multibillion-dollar fixed income portfolio of corporate and municipal bonds.  Prior to this, he has worked as a fixed-income analyst and fixed-income trader.  Ryne graduated from the United Way of Central Oklahoma Board Serve Program in 2019 and joined the board of Areawide the same year.

Personal Statement:

After living in Oklahoma for several years, I wanted to give back and be a part of such a welcoming committee.  I could not think of a better way to do that than to serve on the board of Areawide Aging Agency to use my professional skills to help out an underserved segment of the population.
